Delivered where your hiring lives
AshbyWhat our customers say
Subgraph has been a game changer for us. We’ve been able to consistently have high quality candidates in our pipeline with minimal time investment, at a fraction of the normal cost. It’s allowed us to remain focused on building our product without slowing down on hiring.
Working with Subgraph has accelerated our ability to fill high-urgency technical roles. Their team understands both deep hardware and software domains, and more importantly, the nuances of the specific skill sets we actually need.
Subgraph truly operates as an extension of our team rather than just an external agency. Their communication is consistently transparent and responsive, and they quickly grasped the exact profile we were looking for. It has been a seamless and highly productive partnership.

How Standard compares
Should I do Standard or Full Service?
Honestly? For most teams, Standard.
Full Service runs the screening calls for you, but it costs $20k more on the placement. Those calls total maybe seven hours across a search, so you're spending $20k to save about $2k of your time, and handing off the first call, which can be where a founder or hiring manager wins a candidate over.
Got a role that needs a lot of screening, like a niche role behind a generic title, or genuinely can't spare the hours? Go Full Service. Otherwise, start with Standard, upgrade anytime.
Built by people who've been on both sides.

Bryan Lee
Recruiter · 15+ years at Google, Sequoia, Uber, Apple
I've spent 15+ years filling technical roles at Google, Sequoia, Uber, and Apple. I built Subgraph to bring that kind of sourcing to startups, without the agency price tag.

Tucker Atkinson
CTO · 15+ years in startups, most recently at a Sequoia-backed Series A
I built Subgraph because I was the customer, an engineering leader drowning in recruiting tools that still required me to do the recruiting.
Common questions
Standard ($1,000/mo → $10k) handles targeting, outreach, and submissions: we find the right people, reach out on your behalf, and submit interested candidates to your Slack. You run the first calls. Full Service ($5,000/mo → $30k) is a full recruiting partner. Everything in Standard, plus a first-round screening call, call notes, and a resume on every submission. Every candidate you see has been screened on a call first.
Standard isn't an agency. It's targeting, outreach, and submissions. We deliver interested candidates to your Slack continuously, starting in days. You run the first calls. At a $10k placement fee, that's less than a fourth what agencies charge. Want the full agency experience: screening, notes, weekly check-ins, and candidates screened on a call? That's Full Service.
Our recruiting team runs a first-round screen with every interested candidate: motivation, level, must-have skills, comp, timing, and location. It's fully customizable: tell us what to filter for and we'll cover it. You get the notes and resume (when available) before you spend a minute on the candidate. If someone isn't right after the call, we don't forward them.
The monthly fee keeps dedicated sourcing running on your role, and every dollar credits toward the placement fee. Agencies charge $30–50k per hire on contingent. On Standard, if we place someone in month three, your total cost is $10k, not $45k.
The trial is on Standard. We set up your role and start sending candidates immediately. After 14 days, if you're happy with the quality, you pay for the first month and billing continues monthly. If not, you owe nothing for the sourcing. (If you hire someone we sourced during the trial, the $10k placement fee still applies.) Full Service doesn't include a trial because the screening work is a real cost on our side.
Pause or cancel anytime. No long-term contracts, no pressure to close.
Any role. Engineering is our core strength and where we do the bulk of our work, but the same process works just as well for product, design, leadership, and GTM (sales, CS, marketing). If you're hiring for it, we can source for it.
We deliver candidates wherever your hiring workflow lives: Slack, email, Greenhouse, or Ashby. You approve candidates from the same place, and we handle scheduling from there.
A dedicated recruiter on our team owns your role end to end: sourcing, outreach, and submissions. On Full Service, that includes the screening calls. You work with the same person throughout, not a hand-off after kickoff.
